If the phone powers off, loses network, or stays inactive past predefined thresholds, the cloud server triggers email alerts. The "2" in Guard2? Two signals: device heartbeat and screen unlock.
Installed on device. Grant necessary permissions:
Set a device nickname, enter up to 3 emergency alert emails, and press "Start Monitoring". It automatically sends a heartbeat to the server every 20 minutes with screen unlock flag.
Server evaluates activity every 15 minutes: detects when device heartbeats time out (>2 hours) or no screen unlock occurs (>6 hours).
Because monitoring happens in the cloud, Guard2 can alert you even if the phone is powered off, out of battery, or offline.
When either threshold is exceeded, the server instantly sends alert emails to up to 3 emergency contacts.
Thresholds count only during 07:00–23:00. Overnight hours are excluded.
